District Diabetes Bowlathon

Basketball may have March Madness, but District 14-T has our Diabetes Bowlathon going on. Thanks to Lion/Lioness Pat Strobel, who agreed to wear a new hat this year as the Diabetes Bowlathon Chair. Her Region Coordinators: King Lion Marion Shepherd, King Lion Salli Miller, King Lion Matt Glaspey, Lion George Mullen, and Lion/Lioness Kathy Kreps have done an outstanding job in scheduling and organizing bowling events throughout the district. I was able to stop in at Region I, II Bowling on Saturday, March 12. ABC East was packed with bowlers, cheerleaders, Lions, Lionesses, all there to raise dollars for diabetes. Door Prize tickets were announced throughout the afternoon. PDG Frank Wedig was easy to spot. Clubs were proudly wearing their club shirts. Cheers and laughs could be heard from one end of the alley to the other. Clubs that are not bowlers can be part of the solution by making a donation to this vital District Project. Donations must be sent to District Treasurer, Lion Larry Reisinger, by May 15 to be counted for this year. Send TShirt order forms to Lion/ Lioness Pat Strobel.
